île de Sieck
A preserved setting between land and sea
Off the coast of Santec, opposite Dossen beach, Île de Sieck reveals itself with the rhythm of the tides. Accessible for only a few hours each day, it offers a rare way to experience Brittany: a house on a private island, surrounded by sea, silence and open views.
At low tide, a natural passage links the island to the mainland. At high tide, the sea returns — and the island becomes a world apart.
Here, everything invites you to slow down. A path circles the island, between wild heathland, wind-shaped rocks and views towards the horizon. A discreet little harbour recalls the island’s past, while two secluded beaches offer suspended moments facing the open sea.

The history of Île de Sieck
A memory written into the landscape
Inhabited for centuries, Île de Sieck was once a small fishing village, living to the rhythm of the sea. The harbour, still visible today, is one of its last witnesses.
The house stands slightly apart from the former village, its corner turret adding to its singular character.
The village was once a living community, especially around the sardine factory established there in the nineteenth century. Over time, the inhabitants left the island. Silence settled in, giving way to untouched nature, where every stone still seems to carry the trace of the past.

A holiday house shaped by the rhythm of the sea
Near Roscoff, access to Île de Sieck depends on the tides — and this is precisely what makes the place so singular.
At low tide, a natural road allows you to reach the island on foot or by car, crossing Dossen beach. The journey already feels outside time, between sky and sea.
Then comes high tide.
The sea surrounds the island, cuts off access, and leaves you in a rare form of seclusion. The house becomes a retreat apart, held between land and sea.
This rhythm requires attention and a gentle adaptation to time and the elements. In return, it offers something precious: true disconnection.
